American Roulette by BGaming is available here as a free demo. You can use virtual credits to learn the table before deciding whether the double-zero format suits you.
How American Roulette works
American roulette uses 38 pockets: numbers 1 to 36, a single zero and a double zero. The extra 00 pocket raises the standard house edge compared with single-zero European roulette, while a straight-up winning number still pays 35:1.
What to try in the demo
Use the free game to practise straight-up, split, street and outside bets, and to get comfortable with the 0 and 00 layout. The demo has no cash value.
What we think
This is useful if you specifically want to practise the American wheel. If you are choosing between standard roulette formats for real-money play, a single-zero European game normally gives you the lower house edge.
American Roulette by BGaming
American Roulette keeps the format simple: a 38-pocket wheel with numbers 1 to 36 plus 0 and 00, wrapped in a clean digital interface. The extra double-zero pocket is the key difference from European roulette and gives the game its 94.74% RTP.
BGaming has kept the controls straightforward. You can place standard inside and outside bets directly on the table, while the record line above the game shows recent results. There is also a Rebet button that repeats your previous combination of bets, which is useful if you want to play the same layout across several spins without rebuilding it each time.
How the game plays
The gameplay follows standard American roulette rules. Choose your chip value, place one or more bets on the table and spin the wheel. You can back individual numbers, splits, streets, corners, columns, dozens, red or black, odd or even, and other standard roulette bets.
The wheel contains 0 and 00 alongside the 36 numbered pockets. That extra green 00 pocket increases the house edge compared with single-zero roulette, so it is worth keeping in mind if you usually play European variants.
Features
The strongest feature here is the simplicity. The results history gives you a quick view of previous spins, while Rebet makes repeat wagering much faster. BGaming also states that the game is mobile optimised and uses a certified RNG with its Provably Fair system.
Our take
What stands out to me is how little gets in the way of the wheel. The layout is easy to read, the betting area is familiar and the Rebet control is genuinely useful when I want to repeat the same set of outside bets without placing every chip again.
I would pick this version when I specifically want the American double-zero format rather than extra side bets or live-dealer features. The trade-off is the 94.74% RTP, which is lower than you get from a standard single-zero European roulette game, but the game itself is quick to understand and easy to use.
